We have the latest salary statistics in Japan from Doda, a jobs site, based on its most recent 2025 report. The data reflects approximately 600,000 working professionals surveyed between September 2024 and August 2025.

The highest average salary by occupation was that of physicians/doctors (10.63 million yen).
Most of the top 20 income-earning occupations were in roles related to consulting firms, specialist offices, and audit companies.
The top earning industry was investment trusts and investment advisories (8.14 million yen average).
Manufacturing, finance, and medicine roles dominated the top 10 earning industries.
Most age groups saw increases, but income for workers in their 50s declined slightly in the latest data.
